Experimenting with Picasa

These are the tools on Picasa that I used throughout the process of editing my images.

• Sharpen tool 
• Fill light
• highlights
• shadow
• colour temperature 

My Original picture on the left looks blurry and the colours don't quite stand out, and are dull.  This I why I chose to experiment on Picasa to change the contrast and brighting levels. So as you can see, the second picture is much clearer and lighter than the original image. The red shirt is also more eye-catching and brighter.

On my flat plan, I decided to use alliteration on the pull quote, ‘Naughty but nice' because I wanted it to be catchy and fun. However, throughout the process, I changed the pull quote to 'IT’S MY TIME'. This phrase relates to Hip Hop music, as rappers usually rap about this phrase. Therefore, my magazine would be more realistic and similar to existing magazines.
